SpendSathi is an informational expense tracking and personal financial management utility designed to help users record, organize, and visualize their daily spending habits. SpendSathi is not a registered financial advisor, wealth management firm, investment consultant, broker, or banking institution.
The insights, analytics, graphs, category breakdowns, and budget summaries provided by SpendSathi are for informational and personal budgeting convenience only. They do not constitute financial, investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice. You should consult a licensed financial advisor, chartered accountant, or legal counsel before making significant financial or investment decisions.
2. Accuracy & “As-Is” Provision
SpendSathi relies on automated, on-device parsing algorithms to detect, extract, and categorize transaction alerts sent via SMS by banks and financial services. Because SMS templates, alphanumeric sender headers, and message formats change frequently and vary widely across institutions, the software may occasionally misread, duplicate, omit, or miscategorize transaction details.
The application and all related services are provided strictly on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties or representations of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including but not limited to warranties of accuracy, completeness, reliability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted operation.
SpendSathi and its creators shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from financial discrepancies, budgeting errors, inaccurate balance calculations, tax reporting mistakes, missed bill payments, or local data loss on your device.
3. Third-Party Independence & No Affiliation
SpendSathi is an independent application developed and maintained independently. SpendSathi is not officially affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or partnered with any bank, financial institution, card issuer, payment gateway, or UPI provider (including, but not limited to, the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, HDFC Bank, SBI, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, or any other banking entity) whose notification messages are parsed locally on your device.
All product names, brand names, bank marks, service marks, and registered trademarks displayed or referenced within transaction descriptions belong exclusively to their respective owners. Their mention in parsed notifications does not imply any affiliation, sponsorship, license, or endorsement.
4. Local Data Processing & User Responsibility
SpendSathi operates on a strict local-first, privacy-by-design model. All financial calculations and SMS parsing occur exclusively on your local device. We do not transmit or back up your financial data to external servers or cloud databases.
Consequently, you are solely responsible for securing your physical device (e.g., via screen lock, biometrics, or passcodes) and maintaining backups of your device data. Uninstalling the application, clearing app storage, or factory resetting your device will permanently erase locally stored transaction history.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall SpendSathi, its developers, or its contributors be liable for any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from your use of or inability to use the application, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
